Mountain Adventure Project
The Mountain Adventure Project was initiated by KAILAS to support courageous climbers in technical climbing and a responsible climbing philosophy — attempting unexplored high-altitude mountaineering routes and first ascents of unclimbed peaks. With lightweight high-altitude mountaineering equipment, a safety-first approach, and efficient climbing strategies, the program aims to reach summits that have never been touched by human footsteps.
Since its launch in 2006, the project has supported 120 climbers across 66 expeditions, contributing to the exploration of more than 50 peaks and new routes. Over two decades, it has become an integral part of the history of independent climbing in China. Beyond enabling groundbreaking ascents, the project promotes the open sharing of climbing knowledge and expedition experience, contributing to the continued growth of the global climbing community.
Twenty years represent a journey of accumulation and refinement, and the beginning of our global exploration.
The project is now officially open to climbers worldwide — regardless of nationality or location. Climbers who meet the application requirements may submit a climbing sponsorship application. We provide KAILAS sponsorship and expedition sponsorship, covering gear sponsorship, lightweight high-altitude mountaineering equipment, and funding support for mountaineering expeditions, helping climbers explore unclimbed peaks in China and worldwide, establish new routes, and pursue innovative climbing approaches, while respecting local laws and regulations.
